I just found some info on the above. Seems to me that anyone doing online booking for the first time at the usairways site gets 3,000 bonus miles and the offer is good through Dec. 21, 2003.
So for anyone like me who has never done an online booking with USAir, booking the flight thru the USAir site appears to be a much better deal mileage-wise.
Members earn a 1,000 bonus for each on-line booking thereafter on the USAir site.
I've never used Orbitz, and am wondering if you get any price break by using them? Price difference would be the only incentive to use Orbitz for its new bonus miles, no? Otherwise (unless I'm missing something) USAirways has some mighty generous bonuses for using its own site.
