You could actually lose bonus miles with this offer by booking through Orbitz instead of going directly to usairways.com.

US Airways offers 3,000 bonus miles for booking a flight on usairways.com for the first time. This airline's site also gives 1,000 bonus miles for every booking thereafter from usairways.com

I think Orbitz needs to offer more bonus miles to make its offer worthwhile (in my opinion, noting that I've never used Orbitz so others may have a different take on this)

If Orbitz adds bonus miles for booking flights with other airlines, the Orbitz bonus needs to be at least be better than those offered by booking directly at aa.com and ual.com (in my opinion).
