All I can say is that despite their age, I'm glad they are fitted with TCAS, which alerted our pilot to an impending collision with an opposite direction VN flight. We had just started descent to HAN after passing VTE when the pilot manouvred the aircraft in response to the TCAS alert. Transpired that the VN aircraft hadn't followed ATC instructions and climbed through our level. IMC so unable to determine the degree of separation loss myself (probably best not to have seen)....
