AB6 = A300-600, used for regional flights and domestic flights of about 4 hours max usually. Insufficient range to fly SGN-LAX !!!
Perhaps he/she confused with 345/346 (A340-500/600), a completely different class of long haul product, which the 345 can fly direct BKK-LAX.
No confusion. SGN-LAX stops in BKK. This is the aircraft I fly between SGN-BKK on the way to LAX. It's the only type of aircraft I've flown on between SGN-BKK on Thai for the last 5 years.
