Otto is correct. LAX is notorious for just giving one (or none!), and I had a print out of an email from some time ago from United telling me that I could expect 2. Usually flashing this email would get them to give me another, but this time the receptionist held her ground stating "We NEVER give 2!"
I didn't like the attitude (especially as I've been given 2 there many time before) and as it was the middle of a weekday, I went to the phone and called Red Carpet Club headquarters, my normal contact wasn't in but the rep told me it was a United Airline deal and to call them. I called Reservations and they couldn't come up with any official policy in their profile system (just a general provision for admission for International Cs and Fs), so I then called the Premier Customer Service hotline.
Now on the phone with Chicago, I explained the inconsistency and asked what the official policy was. On hold for about 5 minutes when the agent came back and said I was entitled to a complimentary cocktail, but that it was indeed up to the individual Red Carpet Club as to just how many they give you and they could just give you one.
Lost that one. That time. I more than make up for it at other airports. I just like playing the coupon game...
