A long shot to get it back IMO.

Can't stress this enough: Always double check you have everything before you deplane. I sometimes make a list if I have too many things with me.

Someone once told me that whatever people leave behind on planes, as soon as the last person leaves, it's freebies. They didn't say this was NW policy (and it wasn't an NW worker who told me this), but this just further reinforced the need to always double check.
