I guess I was thinking of getting something sizeable - say 50Gb+. I want to be able to back up much of what's on my hard drive now, plus have room to spare.

I was hoping that the experts here could tell me what's practical, what it might cost, and if a computer novice can make it work from an installation standpoint. My expectation is it should essentially be "plug & play" the way a memory stick is. My computer should recognize the hard drive and I should just be able to move files back and forth. Is this an accurate assumption?
