Not only do you lose the portion of your itinerary associated with that missed flight, the rest of your itinerary is also forfeited (at least for Tango and Tasngo Plus).

AC does give its people some discretion - if you show up late and have a reasonable excuse, chances are a sympathetic agent will put you on the next available flight.
