The machines used in T4 and some other terminals for a while at LHR were back-scatter X-rays and can be adjusted for image quality (and are) -- also my bet is that FTers here were shown their backsides instead of their front sides or they put the image shields up for down below.
Those x-ray images are not as detailed as what comes up with the other types of radiation used to generate virtual strip search images nor is it representative of the devices mostly used in the EU.
You have almost certainly not seen the images of when you were screened by those non-x-ray devices -- those more ordinarily detailed images are only viewable in a back-office location that is
not just around from the machine itself.
Martin Schulz -- on the other hand -- certainly knows of the variety of images produced from the different technologies. He's an informed member of the European Parliament when it comes to these technologies in use.
