quick question... since i am still quite new to this i was wondering whether it would make sense to buy a B/Y coach ticket for a transatlantic trip and then hope for an upgrade (using your miles). i am only silver elite member at NW though... unfortunately, all online tickets with an automatic upgrade using your miles are gone (at least the ones that would make sense).
