Call later in the evening and you'lll probably get someone a little newer, who'll take the time to solve your probably but might require more holds, however they might be nicer and won't care if their AHT is a bit higher.

Not the whole story. Some of senior people like to sell their shifts to junior people. If a senior person make $100 after tax, they will sell the shift for $80 to a junior person who would normally make $60/shift.
