based on my recent experience LHR/PHL/LHR (Both A330's)

- I found the seating to be crampt if you have someone sitting with you in the 2's (A/B or G/H) side
- Food is still free. Rolls on the PHL-LHR leg were soft enough, the chibatta on the LHR-PHL leg could had been used as a WMD.
- Entertainments wasn't great - but wasn't bad (Can anyone explain why have a reasonable line AVOD system - yet have no Airshow?)
- As a *G you'll have the choice of the Star Gold Lounge or BMI lounge at LHR. Still a hike from either of those to Gate 56. The consensus is that food is great in the Star lounge, Atmosphere is better in the BMI lounge
- Legroom was tight - certainly no worse than the worse US Domestic legs I've flown (but then there is this fascination of a 31" seat pitch with the majors )
- Oh yes - you have to pay for your headphones - but you knew that.

Have a look at my trip report (Warning - humor involved.)

If it's cheap enough, its not the worst option. If the BA option is cheaper, or if it's cheaper to hub to ORD and pick up a UA flight, I'd put that ahead to be honest...
