A normal travel agency would be a good suggestion to get assistance. It is amazing what a good agent can do. The problem is that most agencies can not "afford" to work too long with your "case".

Looks like the lowest LH-fares you will find around that dates are appr USD1100. They are booked in Q-class, and are changeable for a EUR100 fee. However, it is important to know that Q-class would need to be available on the new flight/s in order to "only" have to pay EUR100 to be able to change, if not, you would probably be forced to pay the fare difference to the new higher available/corresponding fare bucket/published GOT-MIA fare.

Looks like fares increase for departure on/after 12DEC08.

Max stay is 12 months.


Edit to add; If they are willing to fly through Dusseldorf (GOT-DUS-MIA) the price dips below USD1000. And a much easier airport than FRA in my opinion.
