As a Diamond VIP I have been always upgraded in European and Asian Hiltons (No US experience) to executive room (partly best available as I know) and lounge access (or comp breakfast if hotel with no executive level) when having booked standard rooms, same on reward stays, sometimes for two rooms. In 2007 als as Gold VIP, so surely in 2008 as a Diamond I would have the same benefits. I never insisted in any upgrade, I waited to be offered it, and expressed my thanks. As well I try to go in the same hotels again, you will be remembered, this gives you an additional recognition and you will get for sure the best treatment.
Experienced in following hotels:
- Hilton Paris Suffren Av. (best available with partial view to Eiffel tower)
- Hilton Paris ADT (excellent hotel, excellent lounge team!)
- Hilton Vienna Plaza (excellent lounge)
- Hilton Vienna City Park (3 rooms upgraded to exec.)
- Hilton Vienna Danube (comp. breakfast, best available studio room, half a bottle of french red wine)
- Hilton Copenhagen Airport
- Hilton Berlin (Gold VIP 2007)
- Hilton Dortmund (suite upgrade, comp. breakfast)
- Hilton Beijing (exec. room booked, got best available exc. suite as Gold VIP 2007)
- Hilton KL (same as Beijing, best available)
- Conrad Bangkok (Gold VIP 2007)
So I have no reason to complain about my Diamond benefits. Comp. mineral water everywhere, sometimes sweets, fruits. Nice, helpful and efficiently working Hilton girls at front desk and in the lounge

Competent concierges and guest relation managers. Many points. Currently two promotions running (15.000 in 5 stays plus Minibreaks with 2.500 per night for max. 2 nights) Especially for business trips Hilton is still my first choice when available at the location I stay.
