Apparently the new UA rules prohibit exchange of domestic vouchers for international ones, and US home addressed flyers will only receive domestic vouchers regardless of the location of the delay. I was offerred more miles(don't need them) or a 20% off coupon(virtually useless on most of my tickets), neither of which are very useful, since 99% of my flying is international. I did get transferred from the India customer service number to the 1K desk fairly rapidly, although none of the identifying information was transferred with me. I also got multiple apologies, but no resolution.
Anyone else have the same experience? or any other suggestions?
AFAIK, it was never SOP to exchange them... it was always a "one time exception".
