You should have no problem. I was on a flight yyz to hkg a couple of months ago that ran late and we arrived at 16:10, causing me to miss my connection to Beijing. I was met at the gate by a GA with a boarding pass for a 16:45 flight and had no trouble makingthe flight and my checked bag di as well. You really can't beat Hong Kong as a well run airport to transit through.^
