I have to have my passport and my diploma and doctorial certificates. So even the Diplomas become part of your name in Austria.
May be there is a similar "Haarspalterei" than in Germany, usual begun by lawyers not having the titles. It is not part of your name but you should be adressed like it. Like Loriot: "Ich esse es ja, aber nicht unter falschem Namen"
