It seems out of Australia Avis doesnt offer Avis First, nor do I qualify for Presidents Circle (as they so pleasingly told me). I have done 18 rentals in the past 10 months for 40 rental days (14 days in the USA, 7 days NZ and the rest in Australia).

So it seems that I could change car rental companies to Hertz or Thrifty but I was thinking that if I changed my address to that of my employer in the USA (who is my actual employer) would I
a) get Avis First,
b) be able to use it/ have it recognised in Australia,
c) continue to use the Australian Platinum AMEX AWD and upgrade codes?

Or should I just vote with my feet (considering that the Avis cars are always damaged as of late, not a good look) and rent with someone else such as Hertz who I had no end of issues with when I tried them 2 years ago?
