Usually one-way rates are higher than local rentals since they incorporate some kind of drop fee into it. Chances are they'll gladly accept the car back at SJC and tell you there's no extra charge! But they've pocketed the difference. I'd suggest to find out what their going rate is on local rentals and bargain from there.
