But that would suggest expertflyer has more accurate data than Carina, which seems somewhat bizarre.

Gotta Requalify just ring Air NZ and ask for the seat numbers presently sitting in the reservation? If the answer, from the live system, is 3AB 4AB then the next step should be a thank-you and hang up, not a request to un-assign those seats ...
