MAY 4, 1999, M2 Communications - The British Advertising Standards Authority has upheld British Airways' (BA) right to utilise the slogan 'the world's favourite airline' in its advertising campaigns after rejecting an attempt by Virgin Atlantic Airways to prevent BA's use of the phrase. BA, which has used the slogan since 1983, maintains it bases its use of the slogan on passenger figures collated by the International Transport Association."


and I suppose their marketing photos to New York Don't show New Yorkers being mugged.....
