It does Quadband EDGE as well as Dualband HSDPA/HSUPA on 1700 and 2100 in the US and 2100 in Europe and Asia. It **should** work just fine in Japan, but do please let us know when you've had a chance to test it.

I finally got the street view working with the compass this afternoon, hugely useless, but really awesome

I just hope someone releases some good accelerometer apps soon, or an app that does portrait/landscape with the accelerometer.

Oh, and I'd like a touch screen keyboard
