Travelpro roller bags have better recessed wheels and handles - which fit lengthwise in the overheads - with the handle end first.

Problem - on some other brands the wheels stick out too far on the 22" bags and they do not fit lengthwise. Some manufacturers now offer 21" roller bags to solve the wheel issue.

In the first two rows of FC the airplane curves in, and the bins are not as deep. You also have a problem with a dropped ceiling in FC at some locations so that the overhead door does not swing up all the way. That is a problem if your bag is too thick.

I do not know why the manufacturers aren't more consious of wheels and handles so they fit. Travelpro does one of the best jobs, in my view.
