Having seen how long the thread on seat allocation is, I don't want to get into the debate of this policy being right or wrong. I will add however that for me I really dislike this policy. I don't have status as my flights with BA are el cheapo. Most of my miles come from Tesco and Amex, and I redem them (along with 241) every year or two for 3 long haul tickets. I do not want to take the risk that for an 11hr + flight that my 6 year old daughter will not be sat with her parents, especially when booking club world. I therefore force myself to save up the extra miles for First How daft is that?
