This, indeed, is what it's all about. While airlines like Delta, Continental, and British Airways have GUTTED their frequent flyer programs, United is making it easier and easier for people to Fly The Friendly Skies.
The changes announced in these releases/emails are not only a great public relations move, they are a SUPERB business tool.
