I don't know if these two are quite comparable. The Fairmont Queen Elizabeth is a historic Edmonton hotel, overlooking the river. It is very beautiful. The rooms, are Fairmonty (victorian style), but as for all Fairmont's, part of the price is the beauty of the building, and the great restaurants, bars etc..

My #1 reccomendation would be the Westin, as the rooms are all brand new renovated, and quite large. If you are choosing between Sutton and Fairmont, decide if you want an exceptional hotel experience, or a place to sleep. If the former, choose Fairmont. If the latter, choose Sutton.
