I want to travel ORD-RNO later this year.

I want AA to route me ORD-STL-DFW-LAX-RNO and back (or some crazy connection to maximize miles).

I know I should know better, but what is the most efficient way to do this to get more miles and a decent price. Even though I have been around for a while usually I have wanted the non-stops

Are there better web-sites for this?

I do have access to ExpertFlyer.
