It would surprise me, if LH does not have a couple of plans handy for the upcoming months with multiple options based on the severity of the downturn.
Earlier than originally scheduled heavy maintenance ( including a new C ) might be an option, earlier than expected tanning for some aircraft in the desert is def. another.
Reducing C seats resulting in more Y seats will probably not work out ( price war than imminent ) but less C seats, because of more space for every C seat( which might justify a premium ) is maybe an option, same with the AEJs doing the trick again.
Will be interesting to see how it evolves, the credit card bubble in the US is IMO much worse and will really show how much money is indeed only virtual.
Pretty ironic though that airlines calling A&B months ago to demand compensation for late deliveries are calling again these days, only to negotiate the compensation vice versa, for getting the aircraft a little bit later
