Althought I reached departure gate 20 minutes before close was still bumped from YYZ--YVR this week despite calling Concierge three hours before, then AC not finding me another seat for 6 hours despite priority status, and finally response from President's office that they stood behind staff failures, it is time to seriously consider alternatives as this is just one of series of failures.

Advice please on which alliance best for international travel, mostly to Asia (about 200k annually) from YVR, with very little flying to the US? Better yet, might anyone suggest who to contact at either OneWorld or SkyTeam on whether they would be willing to swap top tier status for 2009 which I have already reached.
