Hmm, that's a completely clueless comment from a completely clueless Manager of Communications. Just booked a domestic one-way flight this week, ticketed on Thursday and it definitely includes a 26 EUR YR surcharge.

Of course the fuel surcharges on other carriers use the YQ component, so technically speaking the comment could be held true, but this is definitely a very dubious and misleading practice.
