After a discussion with her manager, I was instantly moved to FC.
Reminded of a flight about 12 years ago flying MEX-SFO.
Had a nice aisle exit row seat, middle seat still empty. A couple boarded late, seats not together, the female became quite upset and began to cry (which was somehwat embarassing since she looked to be late 20's).
FA asked a man a few rows up if he would switch seats so they could sit together. he replied rather snottily, no.
I was not eager to give up my seat either and take a window seat in the 1st exit row (goofy armrest and no recline), but I felt bad about the couple's predicament and the really ugly attitude of the guy who refused to change. (Totally in his rights mind you, but no need to be a complete *** about it).
I moved, the couple got to sit together, the FA was very nice.
Moments before the boarding door closed, she came back thanked me again and asked if I would interested in another seat, 2B!
Sometimes it does pay to be nice.
