I am curious about this restaurant, from the NYT article:
Although Broeding (Schulstrasse 9; 49-89-16-42-38; www.broeding.de) has been around for more than 18 years, this tiny restaurant still feels like a permanent private dinner party. Perhaps it's because Broeding is also a wine shop that specializes in boutique Austrian wines — many of them rarely found outside Europe. ....snip.....
...the menu only offers two choices: six courses with the cheese plate (59 euros), or five courses without (54 euros). On the night I was there, my five-course dinner started with a delicious demitasse of saffron broth with diced fennel, cod and egg gnocchi. It was followed by a swordfish carpaccio with ginger sauce and mango chutney, and a shot of tuna mousse topped with a foam that tasted of freshly picked tomatoes.
Has anyone eaten there? I'm interested in going, and will likely be on my own.
