On the routes to/from NRT on LH (and LX) in Business, there are usually only two choices of main dish, one meat/poultry and one fish/seafood, out of the three or four served on other routes, and a Japanese meal option. Japanese meals may contain both meat and fish. There is no vegetarian main dish unless you order one especially.

The Japanese LH website normally publishes the actual menus in all classes to/from Japan, but for some reason menus for September/October ex-Japan are still "under preparation".

For ex-Germany in September/October the western menu is identical to what boggs posted with the exception of polenta.
