Another important consideration is cost. Harbor Beach is always in high demand and usually expensive. Plantation is not in a desirable location, as already noted, and can be quite cheap. It's a new hotel and perfectly acceptable to me. I stay there quite often (and will be there next week, actually). If you have a car, you can always drive to the beach. The Plantation property is right at an exit off of I-595. It's not that big a deal getting where you really want to be.

I can take only so much beach, anyway. Unless you are a full-time beach person, you probably don't need to pay the substantial premium to stay at Harbor Beach. But if you are, then it's the right place for you.
