Again, all very true, but this is a *A member airline. No doubt BA/AF domestic flyers have their program of choice to gain some status. It's worth remembering that in UA MP, even the cheapest BD fares gets you 500 EQM miles and a sector credit, so in theory, the loyal, 104 sector, bmi flyer would be a 1K with UA and only silver with BD at the end of the year.
