Do not purchase the duty-free liquids in HKG. They will be confiscated upon boarding the flight to Australia. There is a final liquids search of carry-on bags (manual search) inside the aerobridge before being allowed on board.

You can purchase on-board the aircraft or upon arrival into Australia (before immigration processing) and take through to a domestic flight.
