official reference from BA on what are upper deck exit seats

Having searched the forums and common sense concludes that upper deck exits are 62AK and 63BJ.

We are seated in 63A, 63B and 64B, with my 3 year old son in 63A as he likes windows and we can lock him in so to speak.

But when my agent books him in 63A an error message comes up that he must be suitable for exit row. And BA Scandinavia finds the booking, and calls the agent demanding that she remove him from that seat (of course she could have just removed the seat allocation so cannot complain too loudly).

She claims that 63A forms part of the exit as in it is part of the formation of the exit route??????

Safety regulations stipulate that passengers with additional needs should not be seated at emergency exits or in cross aisles that form part of emergency exit routes.

But no amount of common sense talking from the agent can convince the BA office that 63A is not an exit (rear facing window!). She even has her supervisor now convinced that all of row 62 and 63 are exits

Obviously, Seatguru is not an official source, common sense does not work, and the seat maps on BA.com do not list exit seats. Is there any official BA material that I can point them towards, that state what the upper deck exit rows are?

My travel agent can try to out argue the BA peson, but I would hate to get to checkin, have a similar problem and then be spread all over lower deck.

Any information or experiences would be helpful?

Mark
