When they first started this, it was $20 for 1,000 miles, or right at the 2 cpm cutoff that many consider an appropriate value for miles. It would be interesting to see who, if any, is paying for this.

Elites, especially on Y/B fares, can now "go-infinite" and always have enough miles to upgrade every flight they take for a fairly low amount of money.
