$56 is exactly right! That was back in the times when you could only purchase Southwest tickets by phone or at the airport. It was all over the news with footage of people waiting hours at the airport to purchase their tickets. I called my travel agent, yes, when you could do that without additional charges, and purchased tickets on UA for $56, back before I knew better! Thank god it was just a short trip on those crappy Shuttle planes! I didn't mind when the guy in front of my reclined and pushed my newspaper in my face when I was only paying $28 for the flight!
