When Southwest was celebrating their 25th anniversary they offered fares for $25 each way. I called Alaska and they matched it. I ended up buying (3) roundtrips for $56 so I could go up to Oregon and watch the Ducks. It's amazing what fares used to be as well as what airport taxes were applicable back then. The taxes could have been more but $56 keeps sticking in my head...
