I have to admit that I have never stayed at the Plantation Ren, but I have stayed a number of times at the Harbor Beach Marriott. And in my estimation it is one of the best Marriotts I've ever been to. I love the beach there, the pool, and even the service is great. ^ Also note that Plantation is inland a little bit and you will not be on the beach, but you will be next to a nice big mall if that is of interest.
