I like Five Guys, but just not quite as good as In-N-Out for just meat, cheese, onion, bun. The problems I have with Five Guys are:
1. I am allergic to peanuts. Peanut oil, I can handle in small quantities.
2. The single order of fries feeds three. I am one. This causes a value inefficiency, especially since I should not eat that much peanut oil in one sitting. So I end up not ordering fries.
But I like Five Guys far better than Fatburger and Culvers, which are in the second tier of quick service burgers. I do worry about their national expansion, and whether it will dilute the quality of the product the way expansion destroyed Corner Bakery.
