Completely agree. The issues with allergies and inconveniencing other passengers are simply too large. My former boss' wife manage to get a bird cage on board and the occupants were good for hours of involuntary 'entertainment'.

Now I absolutely love birds - my handle is one after all - but a plane is a shared space.
