I don't understand the fixation on not flying the DC-9. I flew several DC-9 routes into Canada in the last year and I didn't find anything to dislike about it. Sure it's an older plane, but so what? There is no IFE on any NWA domestic aircraft, so you don't loose anything on the DC-9.
