I understand your point here as I am usually harping on the US site sometimes about that tight of a connection but with only 4 flights a day from my home airport and for the times I need to be places, I had no choice on this one....But even with an hour and a half, it still makes it too close for comfort since I like to stop and get hydrated on a long haul and be at the gate with CO's 35 min boarding rule. I am not used to that with US but beyond this, it is the principle of the matter; if you offer what is supposed to be a convenient alternative, by all means, MAKE it convenient.
