Seems like a win-win situation to me... cuts the lines, and passengers of any sex who wish to sit down don't have to be grossed out by misdirected effluents.
I can't speak for the whole world, but a lot of American women are grossed out by urinals. I cannot explain this, but it's true. So U.S. airlines probably aren't going to put urinals in their restrooms anytime soon.
