I don't sleep well in this type of seat, but my options to YVR were UA (via SFO) in old first or SQ direct (via ICN) sitting in an old Spacebed. When will SQ wake up and put true lie-flat seating in its 772ERs? I want to love SQ, but this product is not up-to-date.

Business class and first options trans-pac directly into YVR are pretty dire.
