A typical Aus/NZ episode (not that I’ve seen too many) has two or three stories with people who are (eventually) found to be guilty and one who is (eventually) found to be innocent. I’m not convinced this proportion is representative of real-life Customs investigations but I guess it makes for interesting viewing. The underlying message seems to be that it's okay to hassle the eventually innocent people to be able to catch the eventually guilty people. No wonder DHS is working up their own version.
