I did a little research, and found a realtor's website with listings for the Westin Riverfront resort in Beaver Creek. It listed the association dues for a 2 bedroom whole ownership condo at $4,859/quarter, or $19,436 per year. That would square with the studio previously mentioned being $10K per year fees. Which is vastly less than any of the timeshare properties, but I would assume fewer services are included. (Ie, no weekly housekeeping)
One other point is that while it would be foolish to buy SVO properties just to get Plat or any other status, that isn't all you get. You also get to use/rent/exchange the vacation property, which is not worthless, at least not in my opinion.
