Has anyone experienced connecting from an inbound international flight to an internal China flight at the new Beijing terminal? I will arrive on UA889 from SFO at a scheduled 1435 and am booked on Air China 1235 to Xian at 1640. Is that going to be enough time? Will I have to change terminals?

It should be enough. I am not sure whether they will now interline your luggage. Last time I did that (more then 1 year ago) I had to pick up my luggage, get it through customs, get to the domestic area and recheck the luggage. I did have a first class flight though for inside China and could use their fancy checkin area and also had the faster security line.
In general 2 hours should be enough.
